Are your lists all over the place, making it tough to actually act on those items?
That's me. I was having a tough time acting on and delegating the massive amounts of information I was digesting each day in order to run my business effectively. I have a great team, but communicating my expectations and delegating tasks while keeping things from falling through the cracks has sometimes been tough.
Running a small business is an enormous challenge and responsibility. To do so, it takes great people, stellar communication, and impeccable organization. Initially, as I searched for tools to help me do this, I went to my go-to Swiss Army knife: Outlook. I loved the task list and the fact that Outlook synchronizes with every device I own.
The only problem was that it lacked some flexibility and a certain amount of modern swag. It wasn't sexy to use and the collaboration and progress tracking seemed to be lacking, which meant that organizing tasks and prioritizing them were harder than they should have been.
Enter Wunderlist.
It's modern, lives on all my devices, has tasks & subtasks, and makes everything a snap to organize.
I can prioritize tasks, set deadlines and reminders, highlight extra-important items, and gain perspective on what I have to get done.
My favorite feature is that I can delegate tasks and monitor their progress. Seeing progress is more for me as an owner because it makes me feel good that things are moving forward and, most importantly, helps me avoid my natural temptation to micromanage my staff.
